MySpace, A Place For Errors
Myspace is known to be a place for friends, but for me, its a place for website 'Errors'.

Today alone I have attempted to access the 'Edit Profile' section of Myspace.com atleast 50 times over a 25min time span. Whats going on here.
As Myspace users, we have all seen the occasional friendly Myspace error message and even their Coldfusion code error pages. Errors like:
Sorry! an unexpected error has occurred. This error has been forwarded to MySpace's technical group.
While I am not sure what the problem here is, even though it is most likely one of the following:
1.) Code issue
2.) Database connectivity issue
3.) Server issue
Now while these may seem like endless possibilities as to what went wrong on MySpace.com, all three could actually be an issue with what server you are on and your user session. Today I was obviously stuck in a major pothole of an error, unable to view my 'Edit Profile' page. And, while I am actually still unable to access this section of the site, it is unlike other Days of Errors.
Normally, when you hit one of these Myspace Error Pot-Holes, you can just go to their Homepage and start over. This seemed to clear things up just fine, and sometimes they would even do this for you automatically.
Myspace is certainly experiencing growing pains with their rapidly growing user base and page views. As we know they are in the process of taming the beast with new myspace clustered services, and in the past 6 months they have paid more attention to their code as well. I hhaven'tseen any ugly Coldfusion errors lately which is good that they are catching them. No more:
Error Occurred While Processing RequestError Diagnostic Information
An error occurred while attempting to establish a connection to the service.
The most likely cause of this problem is that the service is not currently running. You can use the 'Services' Control Panel to verify that the service is running and to restart it if necessary.
Windows NT error number 2 occurred.
When these error occur, Myspace gets hit hard with downtime and flat out slow running. This has a tendency to slow down the site because users become frustrated with errors, redirects, and the inability to access portions of the site.
Some users even experience login troubles, as did I last week. When users try to voice their complaints to MySpace Customer Service department, their inquires often sit unanswered for weeks.
