Im certainly feeling the pain here on the login process of MySpace.com today. I actually walked away from the site, which I can only imagine is crippling their site traffic.

In a simple ping of their site I noticed the following:

MySpace.com replied on the following IP Address: 63.208.226.25
Whiile Login.MySpace.com replied on a different address of: 63.208.226.229

This doesnt really mean they are on different servers, but you I would bet they are.

I ran a web site speed report on login.myspace.com and the following was returned:

Title: Your request returned no data.

Date: Report run on Mon Dec 12 20:33:19EST2005

As we've read from the recent Growth of MySpace with Isilon Clustered servers, they are certainly working on the problem but how many people are they loosing daily due to this matter?

While Ive been typing this, my login has timed-out three times, and is currently still processing my fouth request. Which is just absolutely unacceptable, especially when you think in terms of their user base size!

Im done looking at the Title Bars: 'Opening page http://login.myspace.com/index.cfm....'
Maybe I can get onto MySpace tomorrow.
