MySpace.com is an online phenomenon that is gaining in popularity with teenagers both locally and nationwide. Teens say MySpace is sleek, hip, cool and a great way to keep in touch with friends. And it is reportedly the fifth-ranking Web site on the Internet, getting more daily hits than Google.
"Instant messaging," chat rooms and web sites like Myspace.com are popular communicating devices a growing number of kids gravitate towards; they can chose their own friends, post messages, link to one another and even look for new friends.

MySpace.com, one of the top music destinations on the Internet, is starting its own record label. MySpace Records will be based in the Web firm`s Santa Monica offices. The label will initially employ seven to 10 staffers.
