MySpace Whore?
Today something new swept the MySpace site. Some are calling it Whoring, some Whore Train, but all and all its simply getting people to add their myspace UserID to a growing list for Bulletin Posting. And It does work.
I came across this earlier today, aprox 9am, and reviewing what was going on for a little while before deciding to dive in. After submiting myself to the 'Whore Train' the requests started rolling in. It was almost unreal how hungry people were to have friends. I took screen cap of how many friend requests I was getting in my Gmail Inbox to show to one of my friends.. He was like "what the hell did you do".
After some additional research, what was going on here was quite simple.... and kind of clever.
When users submited their MySpace FriendID, the site was adding this to a database of user ID's, then for each person who added it created a bulletin post. Each person then has two options on getting friends:
1.) Click the generated HTML of ADD's from the list of people who added themself
2.) Sit back and wait for other people to post that bulletin to all of their friends.
Option #2 is obviously better. You could hit THOUSANDS of MySpace user friends that way.... but honestly the people joining these 'Trains' of friend requests probably dont have but 10 friends anyway.
Just another bit of trickery on MySpace.
Im not releasing the names of these sites, as I will just be free advertising for them... But, like I said the code was very simple, so I made my own. Just shoot over, enter your Myspace information, and watch the friends requests roll in.
