MySpace Messenger Beta
Ive touched on the Myspace Instant Messaging buzz before, but it looks like reality. There's still no official launch, but its coming for sure....
While it seems the kids are talking about the impending release of a REAL myspace messenger, The folks over at myspace are working hard to get this puppy going. Im going to just add they need to focus on the Damn site... we all certainly know about the massive amount of errors, and other oddities with the site. Just check out this nice ERROR LOOP. See the browser just go nutts... exactly my point....

So, is this whole Messenger business a good idea? What are most myspace users doing? Lets see, they are checking their MySpace inbox, the new comments.... sounds right up the alley of chatting doesnt it.... If they (myspace) are capturing so much of their audiences 'online time' can you imagine if they were using the myspace IM Client? wow. can you say advertising dollars..... I can!
It was also in the news that Myspace was trying to get some key Yahoo Employees... sounds about right.
Ive dropped the IM client screenshots, though they havent been officialy stamped as Authentic.
Integrating messenger will further solidify MySpace's grasp on their audience, allow for expanded capabilities, and will surely grow their ad dollars.

Well, I think that would be a good idea, BUT with all this bs all over the news about myspace, i wouldn't be surprised if myspace was shut down all together. I hate the fact that MySPace is getting sOoo much negative attention, because I'm one of those people that follows the rules on MySPace and it just doesn't seem fair to the people who aren't doing anything wrong on there to have to give it up. Tru we all add a few people we don't know but usually we delete/block them if they start asking personal questions or wierd ones too. So, do I think the messenger thing is good? YES. But ALSO, I KNOW FOR A FACT that this is going to give the media more bs to write about.

I agree.
However, they need to beef up the blocking and so forth.... make it a little more visable you know?

This messenger is built by GTV Solutions Inc. I know the product manager is Ross Cohen. Word is that its going to be release next week.

well i agree with all of you... i feel as though the problem with myspace is the network. i mean , its like soooo many people on myspace. i just joined myspace in like march and i love it. with an exception of the errors that i get when trying to sign on or send messages. i feel as though if they just limit the amount of users on myspace then they may have less traffic. also i think its like 50-50 as far as people that follow the rules and then people that don't. to all the positive users on myspace , just watch who u talk to and what information you give out.If you think about it , its up to us to help keep myspace up and running. lets not give the admins. a reason to shut it down!!!!
