Fox to show 'O.C.' premiere on MySpace.com before TV
News Corp. will show the season premiere of the teen drama "The O.C.'' on MySpace.com and on the Web sites of company-owned Fox affiliates a week before the program airs on TV.
The hour-long show will be available on MySpace.com and 24 local television station sites beginning Oct. 26. The show will air on television Nov. 2, Fox said in an e-mailed statement today.
Putting the show on the Internet is part of Murdoch's strategy to use MySpace to drive younger audiences to Fox movies and television shows. The company is showing episodes of other Fox shows, including "Prison Break'' and "Bones,'' on the social networking site after they aired on the network.
I recently came across this article about how the purchase of myspace was a scandal. While I really have no idea and am suprised nearly two years later this is surfacing, its no suprise! Myspace has turned into a giant! Who wouldnt be looking for a couple extra BILLION???
I recently discovered, while working on another project, that many Music Artists on myspace actually do not manage their myspace profiles. Yep, they have nothing to do with it! The bands have companies who manage their myspace pages. Weird huh?
