Yet another simple URL modification makes private profile information available
Two very simple methods that allowed anyone to view comments and photos stored in private Myspace profiles. These security holes were available by a simple modification of the URL used to access Myspace. The story of these security holes were posted on digg.com, and very quickly spread across the Internet. Once public, Myspace reacted swiftly and closed these two holes within 24 hours. But as soon as those security breaches were addressed by Myspace, more were popping up, and being closed by Myspace, like a lame game of whack-a-mole.

How lovely.. myspace has to wait for a monetary plug to up the allowed profile images... "You can now upload 300 Photo's" I uploaded ZERO! Thanks myspace, but you havent won my image hosting business just yet.
You may have read my past entry about how 'Bands dont manage their myspace pages', and either it was a new look for fans of Artists or hit home for the Artist Readers. While its understandable in that many artists, especially those touring, just dont have time to manage their websites or myspace profiles.
So, ARTISTS, I propose you let someone who knows what they are doing HELP! I propose you let ME manage your myspace profile, and maybe even take you to a better place online with your website as well!

Myspace is really pushing their video features lately, even to the extent that they're force feeding it to you! If you have uploaded any videos to your profile, you may have noticed they went ahead and added your most recent upload to your profile page! Didnt Facebook just get slammed or something similar to this?
News Corp. will show the season premiere of the teen drama "The O.C.'' on MySpace.com and on the Web sites of company-owned Fox affiliates a week before the program airs on TV.
The hour-long show will be available on MySpace.com and 24 local television station sites beginning Oct. 26. The show will air on television Nov. 2, Fox said in an e-mailed statement today.
Putting the show on the Internet is part of Murdoch's strategy to use MySpace to drive younger audiences to Fox movies and television shows. The company is showing episodes of other Fox shows, including "Prison Break'' and "Bones,'' on the social networking site after they aired on the network.
There is a new verb: "to friend".
It is what happens when people link up on websites such as MySpace. It differs markedly from "to befriend" which involves getting to know someone. To friend is just to connect. You Myspacers out there know exactly what Im talkin about!
